The murderers drove the 80 Yezidi tribal home of Sheikh Ahmed Yasua in Kuyua village near Sinjar, 90 miles from Mosul, and when they refused to embrace Islam as radicals requiring them, executed, told Efe local Kafah witness and journalist Mahmud al Sinyari.
This is the second time that EI fighters killed Yazidis massively for renouncing their faith, after the massacre of a group of 77 people, including 33 women and a child, a week ago. The source explained that the militansts vexed and insulted the women and children of those executed, and then moved to the families (about 500 people) to another location on the outskirts of Sinjar.
Ethnic Kurds, the origins of the pre-Islamic religious minority that combines elements of monotheistic beliefs date back several centuries. An estimated 500,000 Yazidis live in Iraq, mostly in the northern province of Nineveh, while the Diaspora is concentrated mainly in Germany (50,000).
On the other hand, a leader of the Kurdish national coalition, Guiaz to Sauaryi, told Efe that the American aircraft bombed this morning in various positions EI Ain al Safra Mount and people Nauran, and other places near the dam Mosul.
The bombing occurred during more than two hours, but still the casualties in the ranks of EI are unknown. On 8 August, the authorities confirmed that Mosul Dam, the largest in the country, fell into jihadi hands after removal of Kurdish troops (” peshmerga “) trying to defend it.
