Jamshed Dasti announces resignation from National Assembly
Monday, August 18th, 2014 10:15:45 by Jamshed SindhuMember National Assembly Jamshed Dasti has reportedly resigned from the National Assembly to support allegations of rigging of 2013 elections by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday August 18, 2014. Jamshed Dasti only announced his resignation, however, did not submit it to Speaker National Assembly.
Jamshed Dasti is elected from Muzaffargarh (NA-178) as the member of the Pakistan National Assembly during the general polls 2013.
Imran Khan is in Islamabad along with his supporters to protest the fraud in the elections and remove the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the power. Khan is demanding resignation of Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Jamshed Dasti was at the center of scandal for acquiring fake educational degree in the past. He was disqualified by the election commission but later was allowed to contest the elections by Lahore High Court.

He claimed that he did Masters from religious institute and was unable to answer basic questions about Islam when asked by court.
