PTI minister threatens to shut down electricity to Punjab
Monday, August 18th, 2014 4:49:13 by Shakira SubhaniPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) minister in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), Mushtaq Ghani, this Monday August 18, 2014 has threatened if Federal government disconnected the electricity supply to KP for non payment of electricity bills, the provincial government will shut down the supply to Punjab from Terbela Dam.
PTI minister said that civil disobedience will not be observed in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is the ruling party. Mushtaq Ghani further said that people will pay the provincial taxes in KP, however, federal taxes will not be collected during the civil disobedience.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced civil disobedience movement to topple the federal and Punjab governments for alleged rigging in 2013 elections.
Mushtaq Ghani had claimed that there had been no case of corruption against the KP government so there is no civil disobedience in the province. It is only against the corrupt government of Nawaz Sharif.
