Former ECP secretary alleges elections 2013 were rigged
Monday, August 25th, 2014 12:57:30 by Shakira SubhaniMuhammad Afzal Khan, former additional secretary of the Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has claimed that the general elections of 2013 were fraudulently manipulated and Nawaz Sharif did not win as a result of clean elections while talking to a local television channel on Sunday August 24, 2014.
Imran Khan has appreciated the statement of ECP retired additional secretary about the rigging in the 2013 polls adding that Afzal Khan has supported his claims that elections were rigged.
Imran Khan who has been demanding to punish all those who were involved in the rigging did not made any statement about Afzal Khan if he will be also punished as he was also involved in the ‘rigged’ election process being the additional secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan.
Afzal Khan has alleged that former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohummad Chaudhry, Justice (R) Riaz Kyani and caretaker government were all involved in the rigging. He also said that (Retd) Chief Justice Tassadaq Jilani was also part of the rigging plan.
Afzal Khan, however, did not disclose what action he took to stop the grand plan of rigging during the elections 2013 and what made him now believe that elections were actually rigged.
Responding to reporters to show the evidence for rigging, Afzal Khan said that he does not have any material proof of rigging but he saw it all.
