Clear Constitution Avenue from protesters, SC orders
Monday, August 25th, 2014 3:14:23 by Khalil KhanPakistan Supreme Court 5-member bench headed by Justice Nasir ul Mulk heard the case concerning the possible extra-constitutional act on Monday August 25, 2014 in Islamabad. Supreme Court ordered Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, Pakistan Awami Tehreek and the Attorney General to sit down and workout plan to clear the Constitution Avenue by tomorrow and submit the report to the court.
Chief Justice Nasir ul Mulk said that the closure of Constitution Avenue is causing severe problems for government employees to reach their offices adding employees are being searched and harassed by the participants of the sit-ins.
Chief Justice in his remarks said that we do not want to interfere in political matters, however, protesters can sit at another location to continue protest until their demands are met.
Supreme Court adjourned the case until August 27 after ordering the three parties to submit report to the court after clearing the Constitution Avenue.
