Police uses rubber bullets and teargas on protesters

PAT and PTI activists have blocked Islamabad Super Highway by burning tires.
Police has fired rubber bullets and teargas on the protesters of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protesters who tried to enter the President House in Islamabad on late Saturday night August 31, 2014.
A number of protesters were injured as a result of firing of the rubber bullets and shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
Teargas shelling has affected large number of women and elder protesters. Imran Khan has asked his workers not to move back and told his workers to come out of their homes in all parts of the country.
Protesters have torchedĀ many trees, shrubs and garbage in the area. It is evident that protesters are no longer peaceful marchers as they also threw stones on police.
Chaudhry Nisar Khan, Interior Minister, also visited the scene to discuss the situation with the security forces.
