Core commanders conference started in Rawalpindi

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif summoned an urgent core commanders conference this evening to discuss the current situation according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

COAS General Raheel Sharif is presiding over the meeting of the core commanders conference to discuss the security situation in the country arising due to violent clashes between law enforcing agencies and protesters.

Pakistan army is responsible for the security of the buildings in the red zone area of Islamabad.
