Army evacuates Pakistan Television building from protesters

Pakistan Army took the control of the security of state-run Pakistan Television headquarters building and got it evacuated from the protesters on Monday September 1, 2014. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek activists had stormed the PTV building.

Protesters entered PTV building and interrupted the transmission of programing for brief moments. The transmission was restored after army cleared the building from the protesters.

Dr Tahirul Qadir and Imran have reportedly said that protesters who attacked and besieged the PTV building were not our workers as we have not allowed them to enter any buildings.

According to media reports, protesters destroyed some equipments in the PTV building and trashed offices injuring some of the employees.
