PAT leader claims Marvi Memon staged attack on PTV building

Central president Pakistan Awami Tehreek Raheeq Abbasi has reportedly claimed that Marvi Memon staged the attack on Pakistan Television building on Sunday September 1, 2014 using Muslim League (Nawaz) workers to defame Pakistan Awami Tehreek.

Raheeq Abbasi said that when his party leadership found about the attack on the PTV building, we our workers that they are not allowed to enter any building in the red zone.

Our workers are peaceful and will continue their protest peacefully, PAT president added. Raheel Abbasi said that Marvi Memon planned the attack on PTV building and stayed in the building throughout the night of Sunday. He further claimed that security was removed from the building to make the task of MLN workers easy.

Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri had also claimed that the attackers on the PTV building were not their party workers.

PTV Managing Director Abdul Malik has told reporters that footage of the attack is being giving to NADRA for face recognition to identify the attackers. He said that attack was well planned as the attacker knew how to suspend the television transmission which they did.
