Having recently been thrown into the political arena, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speeches and statements have been termed controversial by many, and the MQM took offence to several of Bilawal’s comments and expressed its disappointment at the souring relations.
One of Bilawal’s more controversial statements was made against Mr. Altaf Hussain, where the 26-year-old was deemed to have threatened the MQM leader by saying, “Uncle Altaf, if my workers get a single scratch, forget the London police; I will make your life miserable.”
According to a PPP leader, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the co-chairman of the party said, “Bilawal is young and passionate. Politics is in his blood but he needs more time for grooming,” in regards to his son’s recent statements.
While there have been rumours of political differences between Bilawal and Mr. Zardari, the PPP leader who spoke to reporters said, “Mr Bilawal will be active in politics again after getting the green signal from his father.”
