Easter Sunday Bomber Identified!

According to Police, the suicide bomber responsible for the attack in Lahore on Sunday has been identified as Muhammad Yousaf Farid of Fateh Sehrani, Basti  Baitwala in Muzaffargarh.

The attacker who detonated himself in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Sunday, was identified by a CNIC that was found at the scene of the blast.

According to the information on the card, he was born on January 1 1988 and had been a live-in student at a religious school in Lahore from which he graduated and was employed as a teacher at the same school.

Yousaf was reported to have not been in communication with his family for 2 months prior to Sunday’s incident.

Some members of his family, his brothers and uncle to be specific, have been in taken into police custody as they continue their investigations in light of this latest development.
