PM Sharif Set For A Visit to London

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is planning to leave for London on Wednesday for medical purposes, according to a statement issued on Monday by the PM Office.

The statement disclosed that the medical visit was overdue and postponed due to multiple times due to matters of state.

The unexpected revelation of this visit has kindled rumours in Islamabad about the Prime Minister using this trip as an excuse to flee the mess the leaking Panama Papers created.

It remains uncertain whether PM Sharif’s wife, Maryam Nawaz Sharif will go with him on this trip.  A senior official from the PM Office said “Formal travel arrangements of the prime minister will be made on Tuesday (today). Only then it will be known who else from the family is joining him.”

Their sons, Hassan and Hussain, are currently out of the country according to television channels. Hassan is already residing overseas while Hussain recently headed for Dubai on Monday.
