Three children strangled to death in Karachi

Three children between the ages of five to 12-years, were strangled to death by an employee who had been hired by the father, Sharifuddin, to help with the family catering business. The incident took place on Tuesday at Orangi Town, when the children were alone at home with the employee, named Hasnain.

The 18-year-old employee, was arrested by the police and in a grisly confession, he accepted that he had killed the children with his own hands. Hasnain also cited the reason for these murders saying that he committed them because ‘they made fun of him’.

According to the details provided, siblings Hina and Aqsa reportedly teased Hasnain and made fun of him for living-off of the family. He became enraged and strangled them both to death with the help of a pillow. Later, five-year-old Ali walked in and witnessed the scene, due to which Hasnain killed him as well.

The gruesome murders were discovered hours later, when a relative of the family arrived at their house. Instead of being greeted by the smiling children, their bodies were discovered strangled to death.

The bodies of the children were first sent to Qatar Hospital and then shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. There was a delay in the postmortem report upom which Sharifuddin staged a protest outside the hospital.

Sharifuddin also claimed that Hasnain also stole Rs. 400,000 from the house. Upon interrogating Hasnain, he only admitted to stealing Rs. 3000.

The anguished family of the murdered children are seeking justice and just want Hasnain to be hanged for his crimes.
