About 100 Men Arrested For Assaulting Women At PTI Rally

A group of about 100 men where arrested for allegedly harassing women workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaf PTI during a rally on Sunday.
It was reported that between 50 -100 men forced their way into the reserved area for women activists and started harassing them.
The incident was caught by some private news channels which aired live footage of verbal and physical abuse even with the intervention of law enforcement on the ground.
This is the third of such incidents in recent months. Just some weeks ago, women were harassed in Islamabad and also last year in Multan during anPTI event.
Although PTI chairman Imran Khan formally apologized for the harassment of women Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan might be included in the investigation into these spate of attacks. He added that the management of PTI’s rally on Sunday will also be questioned.
Asked if the suspects were PML-N supporters Mr Sanaullah said it will be confirmed which group they blonged to and if they are PML-N supporters then they will be held responsible.
