Boys Raped In Peshawar And Shabqadar

The first incident occurred Monday night in Jabba Sohail, in the jurisdiction of Yakatoot police station in Peshawar, with the rape of a 12-year-old child.
An FIR was registered against the incident. The report claims that Ajab Noor took the 12-year-old victim to his house where he was raped by his (Noor’s) friends.
Yakatoot SHO Sabz Ali Shah said, “Ajab Noor has been named in the FIR and we have arrested him.”
In consideration of the rape survivor’s family, the registration of the FIR was delayed in order to help the accused.
In another event, a 10-year-old seminary student was raped in Charsadda.
A police official, Imran Mohmand, stated that the boy had been raped by Abdullah Khan, in Kosarabad area of Charsadda.
“The boy had gone to buy a ball from a sports shop,” he said. “Abdullah told him he would sell him new merchandise at his other shop and took him there. The 10-year-old was raped at the shop.”
Another boy, a nine-year-old was raped on Sunday, within the jurisdiction of Paharipura police station.
A Pakha Ghulam village resident reported that his son was an apprentice at an embroidery shop and that he had been by Saddam, another boy working in the same store.
Faqirabad ASP Wasim Riaz said they raided the accused’s house and arrested him.
Arshad Mahmood, a Child Rights Activist claimed that child labor existent among the underprivileged sections of society. He further added that sexual abuse and various other means of violence were as a result of child labor.
“Those children who are forced into child labour are vulnerable to sexual abuse and corporal punishment,” he said.
In his opinion, crucial issues in society fail to be addressed. He believed that a proactive child protection system ought to be implemented in the country and encouraged the society to participate in it.
Another child rights activist, Imran Takkar said prevention was the only way to improve a child rights system in the country.
