Indian Hindus Pray For Divine Intervention For Trump

Although Donald Trump may be struggling to get Republican leaders behind him and his campaign, he has, however, got the backing of some faraway fans trying to get the gods on his side.
About a dozen right-wing Indian Hindu group lit a ritual fire and chanted mantras on Wednesday, begging the Hindu gods to ensure that Trump wins the United States (US) presidential election.
Whilst Trump may have beat others in the Republican primary race to the November election, his demands for temporarily banning Muslims from America and dealing with terrorist groups abroad have gotten him a few fans in India.
Vishnu Gupta, founder of the Hindu Sena nationalist group said “The whole world is screaming against Islamic terrorism, and even India is not safe from it” He went on to add, “Only Donald Trump can save humanity.”
The group members in their efforts, gathered on a blanket in a New Delhi protest park with several statues representing gods including Shiva and Hanuman and photos of a smiling Trump.
They hung a banner above them, showing their support for Trump, “because he is hope for humanity against Islamic terror.”
Sanskrit prayers were recited inciting the gods favor for Trump in the election and gave offerings such as seeds, grass and ghee (butter) into a small fire.
