We usually come across posts on social media, urging us to share that particular post in order to help someone. One such post, actually helped in finding a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) boy, who went missing two years ago.

The boy belonged from KP’s Charsadda area, and he was found in the Indian state of Rajasthan. How he got there, is still a mystery.

The boy, named Tufail Ismail, was five-years-old when he went missing from his hometown. According to the details provided, the incident took place on June 6, 2014, while the family was shifting homes from Sardaryab to Ternab.

Ismail’s father, Zafar Ali told reporters that he looked everywhere for his son, but couldn’t find him. After waiting for an entire day, he registered an FIR at the Prang police station.

Then out of nowhere, nearly two months ago, the family came to know that Ismail is somewhere in India. The news was delivered by his maternal uncle who is living in Saudi Arabia, as he came across his nephew’s picture on social media shared by an Indian social worker by the name of Sujewa Pereira.

The social worker shared a picture of Ismail and on the bottom of the photo, a phone number was provided along with a message to share the picture as much as possible, so that the missing boy could be reunited with his family.

When Ismail’s uncle dialed that number, he was told that the missing boy was in the custody of the Indian police at the Ganga Nagar police station in Rajasthan.

Despite knowing of his whereabouts, the family still has not been able to bring Ismail back and they have urged the government to step in.
