Panama Leaks: ‘a crafted bubble balloon’
Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 8:35:29 by modousarrOn Monday, information secretary Hafiz Hussain Ahmad of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) described the Panama Papers scandal issue as a “crafted bubble balloon”.
At a press conference at Darul Ifta in Dera Ghazi Khan, Ahmad stated that ‘the issue of the Panama Papers leaks lacked authentic evidence’, adding that it would lose its significance once the budget for the new fiscal year was publicised.
He slammed authorities for pillaging seminars and defended party Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, saying he was remaining objective and not backing the government.
The JUI-F leader called for the expulsion of the US ambassador, saying the previous US drone strike in Balochistan which executed a Taliban leader was an element in a scheme against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He asserted, “Our regional boundaries are not secure… due to a flaw in the country’s foreign policy.”
He also said that not one religious party leader was exposed in the Panama Papers.
“This fact is a slap in the face of those who vilify clerics,” he said.
