Hyderabad: Six-year-old Child Raped By 16-year-old Relative

Hyderabad, on Wednesday, witnessed the rape of a minor by a teenage boy at Mairasi Mohallah.

Muneer Abbassi, SHO of the Market Police Sation stated six-year-old daughter of Arbab Shaikh was allegedly sexually molested by a 16-year-old boy who turned out to be her relative.

The extended family resides in the same compound with the suspect who supposedly lured the child to the rooftop and committed the act, according to SHO Abbassi, further stating that the accused was arrested following the report made by the victim’s parents.

“The girl has been sent for medical examination at Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad,” he said.

Dr. Abdul Waheed, Additional Police Surgeon affirmed that the case had been received by the LUH, mentioning that the child will be seen by a gynecologist for further medical treatment.

An FIR was lodged by the police based on Shaikh’s complaints in accordance with Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

A case quite similar occurred in January when a seven-year-old boy was gang-raped before being murdered by a group of men in Bahawalnagar’s Christian district.

Asif, the male victim, and a resident of Moza Soda Basti had disappeared for a day following which locals discovered his body dumped in the fields.

Reports stated that the body, when sent for a post-mortem examination, revealed that the 7-year-old boy had been killed after facing brutal rape.

Sahar Fareed, a police official mentioned that an FIR had been filed against four suspects of whom three had been arrested.
