Prime suspect in lost boy Abdullah’s case claims he did not kill Haleema, her stepson did
Friday, June 10th, 2016 8:35:31 by fatimaarshadLost boy Abdullah’s case seems to be getting more complicated with each passing day as now the prime suspect in that case claims that Haleema’s stepson murdered her instead of her. He further added that Haleema’s stepson, Chaudhry Ansar had killed Haleema over a property dispute.
Prime suspect, Rizwan Ayaz Khan testified in a local court on Friday saying that it was not him who murdered Abdullah’s mother Haleema, rather it was her own stepson who killed her. Rizwan further added that he was forced by the police to confess to the crime, so that they can claim to have caught the culprit.
“I did not murder Haleema. I was forced to confess. [the police] said they will harm my wife and daughter if I don’t confess,” he said in court.
After the hearing, Rizwan even spoke to the media and said that if anything were to happen to him, the SSP and investigation officer should be held responsible.
Rizwan is the same person who dropped three-year-old Abdullah at the Edhi center and claimed that he had found him alone at Sea View. He then disappeared and was apprehended by the police from Super Highway. The police were able to trace him through a phone call.
Initially Rizwan confessed to killing Haleema over money matters, but now he has taken his initial statement back.
Meanwhile Abdullah’s father, Muhammad Iqbal and his maternal grandmother have come forward to claim him but so Edhi Center refuses to give the boy till orders from the court.
