Mufti Abdul Qavi, Qandeel’s parents added in murder probee
Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 12:34:02 by fatimaarshadIn a recent turn of events, the parents of social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch and Mufti Abdul Qavi have been included in the investigations surrounding her death. Qandeel Baloch, whose real name is Fozia Azeem, was murdered in cold blood by her brother for the sake of honor. Now new evidence is pointing towards the inclusion of other people in the suspects’ list.
According to the latest autopsy reports, Qandeel was first drugged and then strangled to death between 9 to 10 PM on Friday night. However, her parents had stated that she was killed by her brother between 2 and 3 AM on the same night. Already Qandeel’s father has changed his statement thrice and there are loopholes in his account of what actually happened to Qandeel.
Qandeel’s death was reported to Rescue 1122 on Saturday morning at 11 AM. Qandeel’s brother, Muhammad Waseem, confessed to have killed her for the sake of honor as she used to produce risqué videos and content for social media.
Waseem told authorities that he had drugged his sister using the same medicines his father used for sleep. He also told them that he had come to his parent’s residence in Multan thrice with the intention of killing Qandeel but each time his parents sent him off by saying that she is not at home.
Meanwhile Mufti Abdul Qavi’s name has also been included in the murder probe by the police as he was involved in a controversy with the social media celebrity after his ‘selfies’ with Qandeel made rounds on the internet.
The police had added section 311 in the FIR which means that the state has also become a complainant in the case meaning that the accused will not be forgiven even for blood money.
