Quetta roadside bomb leaves 13 people injured
Thursday, August 11th, 2016 1:45:26 by fatimaarshadA few days after the deadly attack at Civil Hospital Quetta, terrorists have struck again in the city by planting a roadside bomb which ended up injuring 13 people.
According to the details provided of the incident, federal Sharia court judge’s vehicle was passing over the Saryab Flyover when the bomb went off. The bomb was remote controlled and it went off as soon as Justice Zahoor Shahwani’s car passed from the bridge.
Thankfully Justice Shahwani remained safe in the incident but around 13 people were injured. All those injured during the incident, were taken to the Civil Hospital where most were released after being treated.
According to the details provided by the police, only a motorbike and two cars were damaged due to the explosion. Windows of nearby buildings also broke due to the intensity of the blast.
The police also reported that a suspect has been taken into custody. The suspect was found near the site of the explosion and he was acting suspicious.
Immediately after the incident, police officers and rescue workers reached the site of the blast and cordoned-off the area. Following the incident, Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti also visited the site and later said that terrorists are actually targeting the police as he explained that even in this blast, the bomb was aimed at the police vehicle.
On Monday, a massive explosion rocked the Civil Hospital Quetta, when Balochistan Bar Associaion President Bilal Kasi’s body was being brought to the emergency department. In the explosion, 74 people died while 122 were badly injured.
Security forces sprung into action soon after the attack and efforts are being made to catch the culprits.
