Superstar Shahrukh Khan gets detained at Los Angeles Airport

According to the details provided, Shahrukh Khan was travelling with his family and had arrived at the Los Angeles Airport when the US airport immigration authorities singled him out and asked him to step to one side for a random security check.
On Friday, Shahrukh shared his experience with the world by posting about it on Twitter; “I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks.”
As soon as the post went up, news of this incident broke on Indian television channels, prompting US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal to quickly issue an apology and offer her regrets.
This is not the first time that Shahrukh Khan has been singled out for security checks at US airports. In fact, such incidents have happened twice before.
Khan was detained for the first time in 2009 at Newark airport outside New York for more than two hours. At that time his fans made a huge outcry and eventually an apology was tendered from US.
Similarly, Khan was detained again in 2012 in New York and later released. Even at that time a huge outcry was created and an apology was given to him.
After the 2012 incident, SRK joked in a speech to Yale University that he was accustomed to such hassles.
“Yes, it always happens… Whenever I start feeling arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to America,” he told students. “The immigration guys kick the star out of stardom.”
