Chitral girl seeks justice from government
Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 12:41:32 by fatimaarshadA girl belonging from Chitral is urging the government to take notice of her pleas and met out justice to her abductors who had kidnapped and sold her earlier this year. The girl, whose name has not been revealed, belongs from Jughoor village of Chitral and she recently came out with her tragic story and is demanding justice from the government and the higher judiciary.
According to the details provided of the incident, the girl had been sold off to a person in Azad Kashmir for Rs. 600,000.
She talked to the media people in Chitral Press Club on Tuesday and told her story of how she was abducted in January this year by four people belonging to Chitral. The girl had been staying at her relative’s place in Peshawar when she was kidnapped.
Her abductors broke into the relative’s house while the family was out and they kidnapped the girl despite her aging father’s protests.
“They intoxicated me with a spray and when I came to senses I found myself in the drawing room of one Chaudhry Anwar of Mirpur in Azad Kashmir to be told that I had been sold to him for Rs600,000,” she claimed.
“The Chaudhry had warned me that if I tried to run away I will either be shot dead or acid will be thrown on my body and he kept subjecting me to his lust,” she stated.
The girl further added that she succeeded in running away from Anwar’s place with the help of a pious man who used to visit the house regularly. The girl managed to reach Peshawar from where she contacted her family and was taken back home.
She further added that the local police refused to register a case against the accused which include; Qari Niamat (Shekhandeh), Qari Saboor (Garam Chashma), Said Gul (Ochusht) and Hameed Khan (Ayun). She said that if the culprits are not brought to justice, she will burn herself to death.
