Friday, August 26th, 2016 1:43:47 by fatimaarshadFamous television personality and former Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member, Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain is reportedly getting death threats for leaving his party and he is asking Altaf Hussain to be held responsible in case he dies.
According to the details provided, the MQM founder, Altaf Hussain is displeased with the leadership of the party disbanding it.
“I am being told I am a bigger traitor than even Mustafa Kamal, and that I will be killed in a more painful manner than Kamal,” Dr. Liaquat said.
He said he was getting the death threats from unknown numbers.
“I just want to clarify that if I am killed, don’t let them label me as a worker of the MQM. If I am killed, bury me wrapped in the Pakistan flag, because I am not affiliated with them.”
After that Dr. Liaquat clearly stated that if any kind of harm was to come his way, then Altaf Hussan is to be held responsible.
Altaf Hussain, while addressing his party workers during a video conference on Sunday, raised anti-Pakistan slogans and incited his party workers to disrupt peace in the city. As a result, MQM workers thrashed the office of a private news channel and created havoc in the area.
Law enforcement agencies reacted to the situation and a swift crackdown was launched against MQM as a result of which it’s offices were sealed and important party leadership including Farooq Sattar and Dr. Aamir Liaquat were arrested afterwards.
