French actress Marion Cotillard denies being the reason behind Pitt, Jolie split

French actress Marion Cotillard was dragged into the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce controversy by the media but the actress recently released a statement denying her involvement. According to the rumor mill, Cotillard and Pitt became romantically involved due to which Jolie filed for divorce.

However, in a recent post on her official Instagram account, Cotillard said that she had nothing to do with the divorce and she wished the two actors will ‘find peace’ in this tumultuous time. In the same post, she also confirmed that she is pregnant with her long-time partner’s child.

Pitt and Cotillard worked together for their upcoming war drama titled Allied which is due to be released soon.

The Oscar winning French actress also said in the post that this will be her only and sole comment on the ‘whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into.”

“As this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up. Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need,” Cotillard said, referring to French actor Guillaume Canet.

She ended her long and powerful post by wishing that both Angelina and Brad will find peach in this testing time and that she respects them both.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after being married to him for two years. The pair had been together for a decade before the marriage and have six children together, some of whom are adopted.
