Karan Johar expresses his sentiments over ban of Pakistani artists in India

When an Indian nationalist party by the name of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) called for the boycott of Pakistani actors and gave them an ultimatum of two days to leave India, everyone wanted to know what Karan Johar had to say on the matter.
Johar discussed the matter in a TV show and said that this is ‘not the solution’ to the problem at hand. Johar started out by admitting that he felt very ‘vulnerable’ discussing this matter openly as ran the danger of infuriating the same people who proposed this.
Johar said that his heart bleeds over the Uri incident and the resulting loss of lives. However, he added that linking the matter to a ban on artists from Pakistan makes no sense and is not a solution to the problem.
“But this is not a solution. I don’t believe it is. The larger forces have to come together and sort the situation and this cannot be banning talent or art,” he said as reported by DNA India.
He said that his message of spreading love and he should be allowed to propagate the message.
Pakistani actors working in the Bollywood industry have been threatened by the MNS to leave their country or else get ready to be ‘pushed out’. Actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have movies coming up but the MNS has said that it will ban all movies starring Pakistanis Maharashtra.
