According to the details of the incident provided by Goa DIG Vimal Gupta, former security guard by the name of Rajkumar Singh, gained access to Ghurde’s apartment by pretending to be a security supervisor.
When Ghurde opened the door, the accused forced himself inside and overpowered her. After that, he tied the victim to the bed, upon which, Ghurde begged him to take all her money and leave her alone. After taking all the cash, Singh demanded more after which Ghurde gave him her ATM card and PIN number. Singh also took her mobile phone to prevent her from informing anyone of the situation.
Singh later forced Ghurde to watch three porn clips before raping her. He then brutally murdered her and fled from the crime scene.
Luckily the police were able to capture the criminal and he later confessed to his crimes. Singh will be tried for rape along with the murder charges.
“We will add Section 376 [rape] IPC to the case,” DIG said. Goa Police said that revenge, lust and robbery were the motives behind the crime.
