Tourists warned against travelling to Thailand as nation mourns the loss of its king

Thailand is one of the busiest vacation spots for tourists from all over the world, but as the country announced its decision to observe a year-long mourning, advisories from different countries have been issued against travelling to Thailand during this period.
Most of the tourists to Thailand come from Australia as it is somewhat close to that continent. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Thailand has issued a warning to all its Australian citizens to remain careful while the country remains in mourning.
βTo demonstrate respect for the Thai people, refrain from any behaviour that may be interpreted as festive, disrespectful or disorderly.β
While the DFAT states, that due to the mourning period public events, concerts, festivities may be cancelled, it also warns of possible β civil unrest and the threat of terrorist attack, including in Bangkok and Phuket. You should pay close attention to your personal security at all times and where possible monitor the local media, including social media, for of information about possible new safety or security risks.β
In the same way, the British Foreign Office also issued a travel advisory to its citizens, urging them to remain respectful and wear somber clothing while in public so as not to infuriate the local people.
Meanwhile all the famous tourist spots in Thailand remained open as the country has decided to keep operating the tourism business so that the local economy does not get affected.
