‘Chaiwala’ turns into a ‘Fashionwala’

Internet’s hottest sensation, a good-looking tea-maker or chaiwala from the capital city of Islamabad, just received his first modeling offer, within 24-hours of his fame.

According to the details provided, the offer was made to the chaiwala from an online shopping retailer based in Islamabad.

The online retailer announced on its website that it has made a formal offer to Arshad Khan and that he will be working as a model for its ‘full version soon’.

Later, the company released a cheeky tagline along with Arshad’s new picture; “Chai wala is no more chai wala, now he is fashion wala!”

The chaiwala, whose real name is Arshad Khan, made headlines after a local photographer snapped a picture of him while making tea in Islamabad’s Sunday market. In the picture, Khan is seen looking into the camera with his blue eye and at the same time making tea.

The photographer behind the hyped picture has been identified as Javeria, who talked to reporters and told them how she had stumbled upon the good-looking tea maker. She told reporters that she was just visiting the Sunday market when she came across this blue-eyed tea maker and snapped a picture of him.

“The picture was picked from my social media and people and made it a Twitter trend. It has now become famous worldwide,” photographer Javeria said.

“He is now being compared to different film stars like Fawad Khan. I think it was basically his natural beauty which people liked,” Javeria told a news channel.

The picture was even picked up by international website, Buzzfeed and even Twitter was abuzz with the #chaiwala hashtag.
