Case registered against FC soldier who slapped female anchor on live TV
Friday, October 21st, 2016 3:53:14 by fatimaarshadA Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldier is making headlines these days for all the wrong reasons. Recently, a video went viral on social media in which an FC soldier is seen slapping a female television show host in front of everyone.
According to the details of the incident provided, a female anchor from K-21 channel was doing a TV show on the problems faced by general public at Nadra’s office in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area.
For some reason, an FC guard comes into the picture and the video clip shows the female anchor provoking him and asking whether he has ‘mother and sisters at home?’ From the tone of the anchorwoman, it seems as if the guard had previously misbehaved with some females.
The clip further shows the guard walking away while the anchorwoman still chasing him with questions, when all of a sudden he turns back and slaps her right across the face. After that the camera loses focus and sound of gunfire is heard in the video.
It was later learnt that the guard fired 18 bullets in the air after the mob tried to beat him up for slapping the reporter.
A case has been registered against the FC guard for ‘conducting aerial firing’ and ‘assaulting’ the reporter.
The social media has also crucified the guard for raising hand on a woman. Even though the woman was clearly provoking him, most people were of the view that the guard should have kept his calm.
Meanwhile Nadra officials have also submitted an application against the TV channel reporter for creating ‘hindrances in official work’.
