On Friday, Capt (R) Safdar, Maryam Nawaz’s husband, had submitted his reply in the Panama Leaks case, in which he claimed that his wife did not own any offshore account and that she had actually been framed in a fake case by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief, Imran Khan.

Probe into the PM’s own and his family assets started after his name was mentioned in the controversial Panama papers. In order to expedite the probe and ensure that a fair trial takes place, Imran Khan put further pressure by threatening to lock down the capital.
