When the terror attacks on Pakistani soil were finally dwindling, one thought that we might finally be able to get rid of this menace. However, according to latest reports, eight militant organizations recently met up and decided to form an alliance against the state of Pakistan.

“Eight rival militant organizations have formally joined hands and have decided to cooperate with each other against Pakistan,” a key militant leader requesting anonymity claimed while talking to a local news channel. The claim was later independently verified by other sources on Monday.

According to the details provided, the meeting took place at Afghanistan’s Ghazni province and it was attended by either the leaders of the groups or their second-in-command. The meeting was organized by Yousaf Mansour Khurasani who is the chief of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Almi (LJA) militant group.

Mansour hails from the metropolitan city of Karachi and he has carried out several terror activities against his own country. He made headlines after the LJA’s claim of assisting Daesh (Islamic State) in the horrific October 23rd attack on Police Academy in Quetta. That particular attack claimed the lives of 62 young police cadets.

Other people who attended this meeting included; Javaid Sawati, a close aide of Mullah Fazlullah chief of the defunct Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP), currently hiding in Afghanistan following the military operation in South Waziristan.

Jandullah, another key militant organization mostly active in Balochistan and partly in Karachi was represented by Wajid Mehsud. Likewise Maulvi Khatir of TTP Sajna group, Shahryar Mehsud who leads the TTP Shaharyar group himself was present in the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Abdul Wali of Jamaat Ul Ahrar, Mufti Ghufran of Khalifa Mansour group, Mullah Daud of Qari Hussain group.

During the first meeting, just the aim of the group was decided. It has been reported that another meeting will take place in December, during which they will decide how to strategize further.
