According to the details provided of the incident, a woman belonging from Chak 62-JB from Lahore, had come to the police complaining that a DSP had been raping her for the last four months. The alleged victim complained that her rapist had threatened to kill her father and brother in an encounter if she ever talked to anyone of the issue.
However, after sustaining the torture for months, the woman finally broke her silence and came to the police warning that if justice was not served, she would commit suicide.
However, after registering the complaint, the woman suddenly disappeared. A police officer told reporters that the IG had forwarded the application for further probe but when the police started looking for the complainant, they didn’t find her. Announcements were made in the local mosques of the village but no one could find any sign of the woman.
Iqbal Town police officer Baka Muhammad told reporters that a local lumberdar had also been contacted but he denied having any kind of information about the woman.
Baka Muhammad said that if the woman did not come forward with her statement, the probe will have to end without any result.
