The medical examination of Larkana cadet college student Muhammad Ahmed Hussain, who got tortured by his teachers, is complete and the doctors have concluded that he cannot be treated in Pakistan and that he should be sent to America for treatment.

A special 10-member medical board was constituted on the orders of the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, to examine the student in detail and come up with recommendations regarding his treatment.

The board conducted a thorough examination of the paralyzed teen who was admitted to the hospital in Karachi on Friday. After the examination, the doctors said that ‘conclusive evidence of torture’ was found during the hour-long examination.

During the examination, it was also found out that Ahmed was able to write down his own name and the name of the person who allegedly tortured him. So far it is not clear whether any action will be taken against the teacher who beat Ahmed.

The board also concluded that due to the extent of Ahmed’s injuries and the effect on his brain, his case cannot be treated in Pakistan and that he should be sent to America for treatment.

After the medical board’s examination, its recommendations were presented to the CM. The CM had earlier said that the government would bear all the expenses related to Ahmed’s treatment.

Ahmed’s case made headlines after it was reported on media and everyone got shocked about the condition of the boy. People are demanding that the culprits should be brought to justice and corporal punishments should be completely eradicated from the system.
