Passenger kicked-off Delta Airlines flight for speaking Arabic

A Yemeni-American passenger who also happens to be a YouTube star, was kicked-off a Delta Airlines flight for the sole reason that he was speaking Arabic. The passenger, identified as Adam Saleh, claims that the only reason he was kicked-off from the flight was that he was speaking Arabic and this made other passengers uncomfortable.
The flight was scheduled for New York to London on Wednesday morning, when it was delayed due to an unspecified ‘disturbance’.
“We spoke a different language on the plane, and now we´re getting kicked out,” the 23-year-old prankster, who has more than 2.2 million YouTube followers, said in a video filmed as the incident unfolded, and posted on Twitter.
Saleh said he had been talking to his mother on the phone when fellow passengers complained, and he was told to leave.
“You guys are racists. I spoke a different language and you say you feel uncomfortable! I can´t believe my eyes. We spoke a different language and now there are six white people against us bearded men.”
Other passengers could be seen voicing their support for Saleh in the video. However, majority of them were in support of Delta’s decision and some even waved him off and said ‘Goodbye’, when he was asked to leave.
After Saleh was taken-off the flight, he went through several security checks and later cleared to fly again. This time around Saleh was sent on a different airline. Saleh said that as soon as he landed in London, he would head straight to his lawyer.
After being posted on Twitter, Saleh’s video was retweeted more than 200,000 times and the hashtag #BoycottDelta, started trending on Twitter.
Meanwhile Delta has said that it will investigate the incident and deal with any cases of discrimination very seriously.
