Singer, actor, Taher Shah leaves Pakistan amid death threats

It appears that Taher Shah, Pakistan’s biggest viral sensation, had more haters than fans as the artist was forced to leave this country after receiving death threats. Shah, who not only sings and makes his own videos, also made his acting debut recently. The artist has already left Pakistan according to his close aides, following death threats which he had been receiving for quite a while now.

“Pakistan’s famous singer Taher Shah, who is known for spreading love through his music, had been receiving life threats for quite some time,” a statement released by his management said.

“Recently Shah made his film debut with Pakistan’s first online film and it seems like the haters are not admiring his approach of using arts to the benefit of mankind. Perhaps that is the reason why he was getting threats. Shah was left heartbroken when the government failed to provide him security and as a result of which he decided to leave Pakistan.”

Shah rose to fame when he released his first song called ‘Eye to Eye’ in 2013. While many people mocked his peculiar style of singing and videos, one could never imagine that he would receive death threats for those songs and videos.

Shah also released another single called ‘Angel’, in which he appeared dressed as an angel in a purple gown. “Angel is not just about a purple robe, a blonde-wig baby and of course, an angel. It’s about loneliness, love and children,” Shah wrote on his blog earlier, referring to the song he released in April, 2016. “Like all of you humans are like ‘angels,’ I am also like an ‘angel’.”

Meanwhile no one really knows where Shah has decided to reside as his manager also appeared to have no knowledge of this matter.
