Policeman shames Modi government over inadequate salaries
Thursday, January 12th, 2017 1:51:32 by fatimaarshadJust days after an Indian Border Security Force soldier complained of sub-standard food and frequent starvation, an officer from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has now come forward with complaints of his own.
In a video posted by CRPF officer, Jeet Singh, the inefficiencies of the Modi government are again highlighted. In the video, the officer who looks clearly frustrated, says that officers from his force are paid peanuts compared to the sort of work they are required to do.
The CRPF is deployed during elections, outside parliament on VIP protocol and the officers are required to deal with any sort of situation which may arise. Singh compared his pay with that of the Indian Army soldiers and said that even though both the forces are required to work in the same manner, there is a huge discrimination in the pay scales.
Singh also complains about the retirement benefits of the CRPF soldiers. He says that CRPF personnel do not receive any pension even if they serve in the force for 20 years. He said that personnel, who were previously employed, did not receive any medical benefits or quota provisions.
In the end Singh says that the huge difference between the Indian Army and the CRPF is an inefficiency of the Indian government.
Singh’s video was posted online just days after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) soldier named Tej Bahadus Yadav shamed the Modi government in a short video clip. Yadav said that the food supplied to the force was sold off by the higher-ups and the soldiers were given sub-standard food and at times were forced to starve.
According to the latest reports, Yadav has been relegated to the post of a plumber for exposing the reality.
