Mother of three, burnt alive in front of children in Mansehra

A 26-year-old, mother of three children was burnt alive in the middle of the night, right in front of her children. The horrific incident took place in a remote village of Mansehra, on Sunday night.
According to the details provided by the police, the murder seems to be borne out of revenge and the suspects have already been arrested.
The victim’s nine-year-old son helped in identifying his mother’s killers. According to the boy, him and his two younger siblings were sleeping in the same room when two armed men entered their room at around 4 am. The men had entered their home after scaling the boundary wall of the house in the darkness.
“When we saw the two intruders fighting with our mother, we ran into the next room and started screaming for help,” said the young boy whose identity is being kept confidential for his security.
The boy said that the intruders tied his mother to the bed that she was sleeping in and doused her with petrol before setting it on fire. He said that after hearing the men enter, him and his siblings had gone to the other room and started screaming for help. When the men heard the cries, they ran away.
The boy further continued saying that after the men left, they rushed to help their mother and put out the fire but they failed and eventually the neighbors came and helped them. The woman was rushed to the hospital but she had already sustained 80 percent burns on her body and she died shortly after.
According to police reports, the suspects, Javed and Naseer, both belonged to Chitta Batta village and they had purportedly carried out the murder in revenge as the woman’s husband had earlier killed Javed’s brother and was on judicial remand in Mansehra District Jail.
