Eye witnesses describe horrific scenes at Quebec mosque shooting

Just days after the horrific shooting which took place at a mosque in Quebec city took place, eye witnesses accounts have started coming in regarding the shooting and the lone shooter.

According to some people, they had seen Alexandre Bissonnette, the suspect in the shooting rampage; visit the mosque a few times before he actually carried out the horrific act. He was seen asking or money and scouting the scene before returning with ammunition and carrying out the killing spree.

The shooting took place on Sunday night as worshippers were offering their night prayers at the Center Culturel Islamique de Quebec. Bissonnette just entered the mosque and opened indiscriminate fire, killing six people and critically injuring five others. On Monday, he was charged with six counts of premeditated murder and five counts of attempted murder with a restricted weapon.

Members of the mosque who survived the shooting, were shocked to find out that the same man who was seen twice outside the center in the days before the shooting, was the one who actually carried out the attack.

“I remembered his face,” Lhoussine El Manoug said on Wednesday, recalling his reaction when the suspect’s image was broadcast across Canada after the massacre.

Manoug said that he saw Bissonnette carrying a backpack and asking for money on Thursday night, claiming that he wanted the money to go to Montreal. He also recalled a strange thing that the suspect kept saying “‘I love Allah. I’ve seen photos of Allah.’”

Manoug said that he just thought the person to be ignorant and told him that he had no money on him at that time.

Meanwhile survivors of the attack described horrific scenes of the shooting. Many of the people ducked for cover but those who were in the front were immediately shot dead by Bissonnette, Even now the carpet and walls of the mosque are filled with blood stains from the shooting.
