Momina Mustehsan confirms broken engagement news through Instagram post

Just a few days after sharing a Snapchat story regarding being single on Valentine’s Day, singing sensation Momina Mustehsan has finally broken her silence regarding her broken engagement.

Momina had gotten engaged with a US based banker by the name of Ali Naqi in September last year. As soon as news of her engagement hit the internet, a lot of her male fans were heartbroken. However, now Momina is back on the market after confirming that her engagement to Ali has been called off.

In an Instagram post, the Afreen Afreen singer explained that the engagement had been called off, without going into the reasons for it happening.

“Yes, our families have mutually agreed to call off the engagement. Earlier when the news broke, I had requested everyone to not jump to conclusions and to not speak on my behalf on such a personal matter and let me be the one to make the announcement when need be.”

She went on to say: “No one gets engaged to have it called off, but sometimes things don’t go the way you would have wanted to or thought. Such is life. Fortunately, the best part about life is that it goes on. It has to. I would appreciate if no further speculations are made.”

Earlier, when speculations regarding the singer’s relationship status started surfacing on the internet, Momina was quick to shut them down and asked for privacy. However, now it seems that she has finally put the rumors to rest by sharing the news herself.
