Married woman raped at gunpoint in Islamabad

A woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint while her husband remained drugged, at a house near Koral, Islamabad.
According to the details of the incident provided, the woman’s husband came to the police to report the incident. He told the police that on Feb 13, he was invited by his work acquaintance to his home to have tea. While there, the husband was served tea which was spiked with drugs which made him dizzy.
As soon as he came home, he went into a deep sleep due to the drugs he was administered.
Later that same night, the suspect along with an unidentified man broke into the couple’s home.
“At 2am, the suspect along with an unidentified man entered my house after scaling the wall,” the complainant wrote in his application.
“The unidentified man put a pistol to my wife’s head while the suspect raped her,” he said, adding that the men threatened to kill the couple if they made any noise.
The next day, the suspect’s father and brother approached the victim’s family and assured them that they will take action against the culprit. However, they urged the family not to report the incident to the police.
A few days later, they threatened the woman’s husband, upon which he reported the incident to the police on Feb 18.
According to police sources, the suspect belongs from Mandi Bahauddin in Punjab and that is where he still may be hiding. “We will obtain warrants from a magistrate on Tuesday and go to his hometown [to arrest him],” a police officer said. He added that the other suspect had not been identified yet.
