Panic grips Lahore as reports of another bomb in Gulberg area reported

Just moments after a powerful explosion rocked Lahore’s Defense market, reports of another bomb in Lahore’s Gulberg area started surfacing. There were conflicting reports regarding whether an explosion actually took place or if there was just a threat but people started panicking and the road got blocked because of people trying to get to their homes.

According to reports, rumors of a bomb being present in McDonald’s fast food chain located on Main Boulevard, Gulberg, caused panic amongst those who were present at the restaurant and a chaos situation was created. Moments after that, people started saying that a bomb is present at a nearby building on the main road and again, panic gripped the entire population.

Bomb disposal squad reached the scene and they are now searching the entire area. Rescue 1122 also conducted an initial search after which they confirmed that no explosion took place and it was just here say.

Due to these multiple reports of explosions, the public at large is very scared and according to some reports, schools have asked parents to take their children home.

Rangers and police have reached the location and are clearing the area so that it can be ascertained whether the threats are real or fake.

At around 11:30 AM, a powerful explosion took place at an under-construction building in Lahore’s Defense, Z-Block market. Due to the blast five people were killed and 21 others were injured. Initially it was being said that the explosion occurred due to a malfunctioning generator but now it is being speculated that it might be a bombing incident.
