Woman slits throats of two innocent girls over personal dispute

A woman slaughtered two girls over a personal dispute which she had with their parents in Lodhran district. After committing the heinous crime in February, the suspect, identified as Kanwal, fled but she was recently arrested by the police on Wednesday.

In February, Kanwal slit the throats of the girls, identified as three-year-old Alisha and 10-year-old Sonia, as she had a personal dispute with their parents.

“The accused slit the throats of both girls with a sharp knife while they were present in a park,” Lodhran District Police Officer Asad Sarfraz said while talking to reporters.

He said, “Both victims died at Victoria Hospital due to fatal injuries. The DPO maintained, “The police have arrested Kanwal after a search operation while investigation is underway.”

Even though it is known that Kanwal used a sharp knife to slit the girls’ throats, the exact cause of the murder will be determined after thorough investigations. The murder weapon had also been recovered from the site of the incident.

“I have issued instructions to the relevant SHO and investigation officer of Kahror Pacca City police station to register a viable and strong case against the accused so that she could be awarded exemplary punishment,” Sarfraz added.

Sources close the victims’ family told reporters that this was not the first time that Kanwal had attempted to kill the girls, as she had tried to do that a few months back as well. However, the girls’ parents forgave her after she tendered a public apology. Sadly, this time around Kanwal succeeded in her evil designs.
