After Musharaf, Zardari begins careers as political analyst on Bol TV
Monday, March 20th, 2017 4:21:20 by fatimaarshadBol TV is set to bring all the famous political personalities to its channel in order to increase viewership and ratings. Just a few weeks after former Army Chief and President of Pakistan, Parvez Musharaf started his show as a political analyst on Bol TV, former president Asif Ali Zardari has done the same.
Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari will be hosting his own show on Bol TV as a political analyst. The show titled Pakistan Khappay with President Asif Ali Zardari, was launched on March 19, and it will be aired on every Sunday at 9:30 pm.
The first episode of the show was broadcasted from Zardari’s current residence in Karachi, the Bilawal House. In the show, Zardari answered questions about current affairs and gave his viewpoint on different things ranging from Pakistan’s relationship with its neighboring countries and the United States.
When asked about his viewpoint about the absence of a foreign minister, Zardari said; “A country which does not have a foreign minister for four years, shows that the government does not care or understand the position Pakistan holds, and the challenges it faces when it comes to international politics.”
When asked about Pakistan’s relation with India and Afghanistan, the former president said that Mian Nawaz Sharif thinks of India as his market, and neglects Afghanistan, due to which these tensions are being created between the two countries.
Talking about US-Pakistan relations, Zardari said that it will do the country good if someone from the government tries to build a relationship with President Trump.
So far the show has received a luke-warm response but it is expected to pick up with the coming episodes.
