Child pornography business unearthed in Sargodha

A man has been arrested from Sargodha for luring children, making their objectionable videos and later selling that on the internet as child pornography content.
On Tuesday, the Federal Investigation Agency’s cybercrime wing arrested Saadat Amin, 45, who had been engaged in this business for the past several years and operated from Sargodha. Officials from the FIA took his computer and laptop in custody and are further investigating whether anyone else was involved in this heinous business as well.
On Wednesday, Amin’s five day physical remand was also given to the FIA by a magistrate.
According to the Deputy Director FIA cybercrime division, Shahid Hasan, this is a ‘first of its kind’ scam which has been unearthed by the agency.
“During interrogation Amin revealed that he had been selling child pornographic content online for the last few years. Amin used to lure children on the pretext of imparting computer education. He even paid between Rs3,000 and Rs5,000 to the parents of the victims, saying that their children would learn computer hardware and software (skills) at his one-room rented workshop in Sargodha,” one of the investigators, Assistant Director Asif Iqbal, told reporters.
The FIA cybercrime wing started this investigation after getting a tip from Norwegian Embassy through a letter informing that the country had arrested a man involved in child pornography business and that he told them that his accomplice was Saadat Amin in Pakistan.
Amin was a graduate of University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, and he had moved to Sargodha to start this heinous business.
Mr Iqbal said so far the FIA had recovered some 65,000 child pornography video clips from the suspect’s possession hacked from foreign websites.
