Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 12:56:56 by fatimaarshadTwo government school teachers from Lahore took torture to a whole new level by pushing a girl off from the third floor of the school building in Shahdara. The fall resulted in the girl fighting for her life and receiving life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place on May 23, but the school administration tried to hide it and it was eventually reported yesterday. The two teachers who tortured the victim, identified as 14-year-old Fajar Noor, have been booked for attempted murder case.
According to the details of the incident provided, the teachers, identified as Bushra and Rehana, tortured Fajar after she refused to clear the classroom on her turn.
After the horrific incident, the school administration called up Fajar’s parents and told them that she had fallen off the stairs and had injured herself. The girl was taken to the Mayo Hospital and when her parents arrived there, they were shocked to see her state.
The doctors told them that Fajar had sustained some major injuries and had also damaged her spine, due to which they advised her parents to shift her to the Spine Center at Ghurki Hospital.
After regaining consciousness at Mayo, Fajar said: “My class teachers Bushra and Rehana ordered me to clean the classroom as today (May 23) was my turn to do so. I told them that I was not feeling well and she would do it some other day. On this they took me to another room and started slapping me. Then they took me to the rooftop and ordered me to clean it (roof). When I argued, they pushed me from the rooftop.”
Fajar’s parents have asked the Chief Minister to take notice of the incident, to punish the culprits and to bear the expenses of their daughter’s treatment as they cannot afford it.
