Shah Rukh Khan narrowly escapes getting buried beneath collapsed roof on film set

Famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan nearly escaped an accident which could have left him badly injured on the sets of a new film that he is shooting.

According to reports, a portion of the ceiling on the sets of the film collapsed, but thankfully the superstar managed to escape unscathed. Two crew members however, got minor injuries which were treated promptly.

The movie in which Shah Rukh Khan is working now is Anand L Rai’s new upcoming project which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

“A prop ladder fell on the makeshift ceiling. The injured crew members were discharged immediately since the injuries were minor. Everybody heaved a sigh of relief that SRK was seated on another side of the set and was unharmed,” said a report on the incident.

According to Indian Express, Rai has also issued an official statement about the accident. “It was a minor injury and nothing serious. Prompt care and action was taken. The shooting had to be stalled that day as it was cloudy and not suited to the scene’s requirements,” the director said.

It has been reported that filming will begin in the later part of this week once the weather clears up.

Both Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif were not present at the scene since they have not started working on the film yet.

According to reports, the movie has still not been named but it is about a dwarf-a character which is played by Khan. He began shooting for the film earlier this week.

This is not the first time that Khan has had a brush with danger, as he has been previously injured while shooting for Darr, Ra.One and Chennai Express among other films.
