Amal and George Clooney welcome twins

Power couple Amal and George Clooney welcomed a baby girl and a boy into this world on Tuesday, becoming first-time parents to twins.
The human rights lawyer and her celebrity spouse are said to be ecstatic over the birth of their children.
“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,” George Clooney’s publicist Stan Rosenfield said in an email.
He added cheekily, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”
George and Amal became the world’s most famous celebrity couples after they tied the knot in Italy in 2014. They usually remained in the limelight after that and made headlines from time to time.
During their pregnancy however, the couple maintained a low profile and kept the news private for months before it was revealed by their friend Matt Damon in February this year. Since then, people started speculating the gender of the twins, where they would be born and raised etc.
Even though the Clooney’s publicist did not reveal where the twins were born, the couple appear to have been spending much of their time in England recently, where they also have one of several homes.
During her pregnancy, Amal continued her work as a human rights lawyer and raised the issue of crimes committed by Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.
Meanwhile the entertainment world was pleasantly surprised over the fact that the Clooneys chose traditional names rather than choosing celebrity baby names like Apple, Audio, Bronx, North West and Rocket, which has become a trend.
