Person behind Hussain Nawaz’s leaked JIT picture removed

A report was submitted to the Supreme Court, identifying the person behind the leaked picture of Hussain Nawaz from a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) session held for Panama papers hearing.

According to the report, the person who was responsible for leaking the picture of the premier’s son from a session which was supposed to be highly confidential has been identified and removed from the team. The person has been sent back to his department and will not be a part of the team investigating the Sharif family anymore.

Despite identifying the person, his name has not been revealed. The report was submitted on orders of the apex court after picture of Hussain Nawaz sitting in front of the JIT made rounds on social media and news channels.

The apex court had sought an immediate reply from the Panama case JIT against the leaking of Hussain Nawaz picture.

“The JIT initiated a comprehensive probe and within twenty-four hours of the same had not only identified the culprit but also submitted its report thereon to the Hon’ble Bench,” said the report submitted to the court.

The report also mentioned that the parent department has confirmed that a departmental inquiry has been completed and necessary action has been taken against the person responsible.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family are being probed regarding their sources of income after the Panama Papers leak mentioned the family’s name amongst other rich people holding off shore companies.

Upon the hue and cry of the opposition parties, the Supreme Court ordered the formation of a JIT to investigate the ruling family’s sources of income. The JIT submits a report every fortnight to the SC regarding the progress made.
